God Rested, and Adam in the Garden of Eden

Genesis 2

Day 7

 ^1-3 The heavens and the earth were completely finished and God look upon it all. So on the seventh day He rested from all the work He had been doing. And, God made the seventh day a holy day so that all can rest.

Adam in the Garden of Eden

^8-9 God planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man. And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow and they were beautiful to the eye and the fruit was good for food. In the middle of the garden God put the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
^10-14  A river watered the garden in Eden. It was divided into four rivers. The first river is the Pishon and goes through the entire land to Havilah, where there is gold (the best gold; pearls and onyx too). The second river is the Gihon, and it goes to the land of Cush (possibly Mesopotamia). The name of the third river is Tigris, and it runs along the east side of Asshur and the fourth river is Euphrates.
^15-17  Adam’s job was to take care of the Garden of Eden. And God commanded “You can eat from any tree in the garden, but YOU MUST NEVER EAT from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for you will die”.
¹⁸ The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
